Marco ‘Polo’ Tornillo is an audio engineer, producer, songwriter, sound designer, and studio owner located in Los Angeles, CA. He started playing guitar at 8 years old and inevitably picked up bass guitar. His early influences include Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen. He was later introduced to Green Day, Blink-182, Good Charlotte and Nirvana. Other influences include Amy Winehouse, Kanye West, Juice WRLD and Post Malone.
Marco started making beats on his computer in college at Pepperdine University, which lead him to start producing for artists. In 2017 he started as an intern at Eleven Sound in Santa Monica. Eleven is a boutique audio post production studio working in all audio mediums with focus in commercial work. After interning for 8 months, Marco was hired by Eleven. He worked with Eleven for 5 years as an assistant and full time mixer and gained valuable skills.
Marco opened his own studio in 2020 and has since continued to run the studio and produce and mix for artists full time.
